Immersive projection mapping surrounds the gallery’s three walls using a 3D glitch aesthetic. Within a glitched landscape, participants experience the holograms allowing one to experience the Capital Riots of DC through observation of user interactivity as well as the frequency of words being used in the majority of posts. Users will also be able to engage in audible, spatial experiences that simulate the events of the Capital Riots from a first person perspective.
A simulation of the events that took place at the US Capitol on January 6th 2021. The videos taken on the ground and posted by users of the conservative social media, Parler, are replayed with an interactive timeline, recreating the procession from Trump's stage beside the Washington Monument to the break-in at the Capitol Building.
A 3D directed network graph that serves as a representation of user interactivity between Parler users during the Capitol Riots of 2020. Users are connected by reposts and the user color is determined by their verification status. The particles within the connections reveal which users are being reposted as well as the popularity of each post.
